In the morning, you’ll be picked up by one of our drivers from the Severin Sea Lodge in Mombasa. You’ll travel in a comfortable safari vehicle to Tsavo River Gate, where you’ll begin your African Adventure! Your first game drive will be on the way to Severin Safari Camp, which is located in the center of the Chyulu hills and the Kitana wildlife area. Being very close to the wonderful Kenyan nature, experiencing dawn and dusk with its astounding array of colors, listening to the voices of the wilderness, being one with yourself - the Severin Safari Camp offers all that and much more. In the heart of Tsavo West National Park we have created a place which reflects our deep bond with this country. In the camp amidst the African wilderness, our guests will experience a unique combination of adventure, recreation and wellness, a very individual service and culinary delicacies. Friendly service and comfort await you at camp in the middle of the African wilderness. All of our octagon tents are equipped with running hot and cold water, shower, separate toilet with bidet, comfortable beds with mosquito nets and a private terrace. After settling into your tent, you’ll enjoy a lunch at our Out of Africa restaurant before taking an excursion to Mzima Springs, a beautiful oasis that’s home to hippos and crocodiles. Enjoy an early morning game drive to see many of the Savannah’s animals while they’re most active. We’ll start at the springs of the Tsavo River, a lifeline for hippos and crocodiles. After breakfast back at the camp, you’ll have time to relax by our pool or enjoy some time at Kenbali Spa before your à la carte lunch. Inspired by the African wilderness and centuries-old Southeast Asian techniques of wellbeing, Kenbali Spa is an oasis of peace and relaxation. Our trained therapists are happy to advice you on what to choose from the SPA Menu. In the afternoon, you’ll experience the highlight of your day. You’ll be able to enjoy the beautiful sunset and traditional “sundowner” from the incredible vantage point of Poacher’s Lookout, complete with a glass of sparkling wine and canapés. On the way back to the camp, you’ll experience the African savannah at night, when amazing nocturnal creatures awake from their slumber. When our driver turns off the engine, you’ll be able to hear all the sounds of the savannah—especially the incredible silence under the night sky. After breakfast, your driver will take you to Tsavo River Gate. The game drive will lead you alongside the Roaring Rocks, which served the Mau Mau warriors as a hideout during the Kenyan Independence War. On the way, you can once again enjoy the unique landscapes and the breathtaking animal kingdom of Kenya. After departing from Tsavo West National Park, your journey will lead you back to Bachuma Gate and Mombasa. On the way back, you will have a break to enjoy a delicious prepared lunch box. After an exciting time in the African wilderness, you will arrive back at the Severin Sea Lodge in Mombasa in the afternoon. And finally relax back on the beach at the Severin Sea Lodge!
